supervisor imposing his personal views on a curricular matter through the power of the purse. This raises a fundamental question about censorship. People of my generation remember with horror the efforts at thought control practiced in Russia and Germany in the 1930s and after. The supervisors need to reopen this matter, explore it in depth, and rescind their previous action.
