I might not agree with them, with the board of supervisors deciding on an overall budget cut; but surely it is the job of the elected school board, not the board of supervisors, to decide how to allocate the reduced funds.
Please, let each elected body carry out its designated task. Blurring these lines of authority of two elected groups not only makes for bad and inefficient communications, but seriously jeopar- > dizes our efforts to continue to improve public education for the children of Rappahannock County.
