Something exciting is happening on Lee Highway west of Sperryville. What used to be a deserted stretch along the road and a little league baseball field is now an up and coming art and business community thanks to Eric Kvarnes. He had a vision that turned him into one of Rappahannock’s hardest working entrepreneurs.
Eighteen years ago Kvarnes imagined an art center while standing in the middle of a Sperryville junk yard. Through his hard work that field is now surrounded by the Glassworks Gallery, seven studios and the newly completed 3,600 square foot Jensen Pavilion. This large building will soon be ready for a twohour program called the “World of Glass.” Bleachers
