An extremely versatile performer and composer, with works ranging from native American collaborations to contemporary jazz, Kater has sold over a million albums worldwide and has collaborated with some of the world’s most gifted instrumentalists. He just recently completed a new Christmas album, “December,” with Kenny Loggins. ; Kater’s critically acclaimed qlbum, “Migration,” with native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai, won the NAIRD “Indie Award” in 1992. The majority of his 24 releases occupied Top 10 slots on national airplay charts and Billboard’s Top 20 New Age and Contemporary Jazz
