The Piedmont Area Chapter No. 752 of Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. will be dedicating a memorial on May 25, at 2 p.m. The memorial will be located in the Culpeper County courtyard located on West Davis Street in Culpeper.
Within six months of start•ing, the chapter was asked in November 1995 by the mothers of their fallen comrades to erect a memorial in their honor. They • raised the funds through dances, cookouts, membership drives and raffles. This dedication was previously planned for Veteran’s Day 1997, however five days short of the dedication, during the installation, •there was an accident causing the memorial to fall and break.
