MOTHER
If there can be said to be a love that approaches perfection on this earth, it is the love that exists between mother and child. It is this inherent bond which is heralded by the baby's cry at birth, the wounded child's call during the growing years and the dying man's last wish. At each stage in our lives, we call to our mothers and our mothers invariably answer with comforting words. Is it any wonder then that the death of one's mother is counted among the most painful losses in life? As the Jewish proverb' observes: "God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers." When a mother dies then, her children should rightly turn their eyes heavenward.
