Public meeting set
for high school
addition
The public is invited to attend a meeting on Thursday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the RCHS auditorium concerning the development of the RCHS addition. The basic overall design and classroom configuration has been determined. However,, public input can still affect the exterior, the site appearance, and overall aesthetics. An architect from Hayes Large Architects will be present to explain the progress on the development of the new RCHS addition. After the architects’ presentation, the public is invited to provide comments or ask questions concerning the new addition.
Organizational
meeting slated
The Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance organizational meeting will be held Wednesday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Volunteer Fire Hall. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
Air Force Band
coming to county
Join the United States Air Force Heritage of America Concert Band for a very special evening of musical entertainment, Thursday, May 13 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. This outstanding musical group, on tour from Langley Air Force Base, Va. will present an exciting program featuring selections from light classics and Broadway hits to stirring patriotic pieces, current vocal hits, and Big Band era tunes. The program, sponsored by Rappahannock News, is open to the public and will begin at 7:30 p.m. For free tickets, stop by the Rappahannock News office, located at 249 Main Street, Washington.
