The purpose of my letter is not to condemn, but rather to
compliment the Rappahannock News for what I feel was an excellent issue of our county newspaper. I am referring to the Wednesday, April 14 issue.
What was so special about this issue? Personally I liked the happenings in Rappahannock, the stories written by Gerald Ochs (Chris Bird running for supervisor) and Todd Fortune (Bank sponsors seminar on Y2K) and the report from the sheriff’s office and all of this was all on the front page.
Then on page A3 I felt that the story written by Todd Fortune in reference to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department needing new volunteers was not only very well
