Virginia Heflin

Virginia E. Heflin, 75, of Linden died Tuesday, April 13 at her residence.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Williams officiating.

Burial followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.

Mrs. Heflin was bom Aug. 20, 1923 in Sperryville, a daughter of Charles and Eunice Clater Atkins. She was married to the late Reginald H. Dawson and Giles Heflin.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne Heflin of Charles Town, W.Va. and Reginald Dawson Jr. of Stanley; one daughter, Donna Heflin of Linden; one sister, Lucy Strother of Front Royal and one brother, Ned Atkins of Linden.

Pallbearers were Jim Heflin, Randy Franken, Junior Rector and Kenny Wymer.

Aubrey Lillard

Flint Hill resident

Aubrey Leo Lillard, 82, of Flint Hill died Thursday, April 15 in the Warrenton Overlook Care Center in Warrenton.

Mr. Lillard was bom July I, 1916 in Madison, the son of the late James W. and Betty Jenkins Lillard.

Mr. Lillard was retired after 43 years of service with the Virginia State Highway Department.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edna Virginia Pullen Lillard; one son, Aubrey Leon Lillard of Winchester; three daughters, Catherine Hawkins and Edith Graves, both of Fredericksburg and Lois Duncan of Board Run; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother, Clyde Lillard of Flint Hill and one sister, Mrs. Alice Brady of Flint Hill.

Funeral services were conducted at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 18 with the Rev. Merlin Shorb officiating.

Interment followed at the Flint Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were the grandsons.
