David Lees, who placed second in the 50-54. Talbert Mack, who won the 55-59 a year ago, returns. So does Mervyn Jeffries, who looks to improve on last year’s second place finish in the 60 and older category.
The women also have a number of winners back this year. Beth Yowell finished third in the 13-18 and is looking to win the Eva Smith Memorial Trophy. She can expect stiff competition from Susannah McNear, who won the trophy as well as the 19-29 category last year.
Second place winner Jessica Goldstein and third place finisher Sara Greenwood are back to challenge McNear in the 19-29 age group.
The top three finishers from the 40-44 category are all back. Kay Cross, Veronica Goff, and Marta Segarra will again challenge each other for the title in that group.
Judy Allen and Rose Popovich placed second and third in the 45-49 age group, and will be back in this year’s event. Margaret West and Nancy Secrist, second and third place finishers in the 55-59 category will again compete against one-another.
All three winners from the 60 and over are back for the women.
