The 21st Annual Fodderstack 10KM Classic, organized by the Rappahannock Recreational Facilities Authority, will be held this Saturday April 24 beginning at 10 a.m. The race will start in front of the Flint Hill warehouse on U.S. 522 and travel along Fodderstack Road into Washington, ending at the courthouse.
The deadline for pre-registration has passed. However, you can register on the morning of the race at the Flint Hill Fire Department from 8:30 until 9:30. There will also be shuttle bus service from Washington to Flint Hill. Buses leave at 8:45 a.m. and 9:20 a.m.
Once again, the Inn at Little Washington will be the primary sponsor of the race. Merrill Strange is making the trophies for the winners as well as donating the Eva Smith Memorial Trophies for the first Rappahannock County residents, male and female, to finish the race. Strange, who has not missed a race, is a former Eva Smith Memorial winner.
The weather has traditionally been favorable for the event.
