In addition to his parents, he was accompanied by his teacher, Ms. Amy Saxton, RCES Assistant Principal, Mr. Richard Smith and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Hackley. He was very grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
• Teachers throughout the schools are working tirelessly to prepare their students for the upcoming SOL (Standards ofLeaming) tests. Many students know the material, but are not familiar with standardized testing formats. Third grade teacher, Mrs. Holly Propst, is one of many who have been reviewing test-taking skills with their children to help relieve some of their students’ anxieties during testing.
• The first phase of the RCES Playground “rejuvenation” will take place Friday, April 21 with additional equipment planned for phases two and three, if you have questions, or would like to be part of the process, please call Ms. Shannon Swain, Playground Chair, at 987-8259.
