The sun may have been shining on Saturday April 17, hut it was a gloomy day for the y-12 Rapp 1 soccer team coached by George Sonnet and his assistants, Melissa Rodden and Bob Lucking.
Rapp 1 traveled to Madison to play the U-12 Mad 1 team on the field at Madison Primary. Mad 1 took an early lead and never allowed Rapp 1 to gather momentum to come back. The aggressive Mad players appeared to be everywhere at once, holding the Rapp 1 defense at bay.
The final score was 4-1 in favor of Madison. Rapp 1 has the potential to be an awesome team this year with a little work on their defense. Don’t count them out.
