“We’ll have arts and activities, recreational sports and tournaments, speakers and clinics,” Gregory said. “Once a week, we’ll take a field trip,” he added, to locations such as Kings Dominion, Luray Caverns and to a Potomac Cannons minor-league baseball game.

Parks and Rec
The county’s Parks and Recreation Department has been busy organizing programs for the summer.
Staff will be on hand Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a full bag of activities at Rady Park and Eve Walker Park in Warrenton.
Gymnastic, tennis, Aikido, tiny tot basketball and preschool development sessions will be offered in the Central Region.
Volleyball and golf will be among the offerings in the Southern Region this summer. An Outdoor Adventure Camp is on the schedule as well. A Short Stuff Sports Camp will help younger children learn karate, baseball, golf and track and field.
