In an effort to take greater advantage of the facilities available at Vint Hill, the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department is planning a number of youth activity camps this summer.
“The county is very lucky to have a facility like this one,” says Karen Sheetz, park manager at Vint Hill. “We’re trying to do the best we can to make the best use of this. ... We’re going to be really busy this summer.”
The Vint Hill facility is the focus of Fauquier Parks and Rec activities for the county’s eastern region. “The department decided to break out our programs into regions, to better respond to the needs of different parts of the county,” Sheetz says.
