The Spring Fling Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25 at Graves Mountain Lodge. There will be live music, arts and crafts, horseback riding, doggers and old fashioned games. There will be plenty of delicious home cooked food and there is free admission and free parking. So a reminder to our area people, come out and enjoy two great days of fun and meet your many friends.
Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Lucy W. Compton of Castleton upon the passing of her sister, Mrs. Nellie Utz, which occurred Friday at her residence in Brightwood.
Mrs. Henry Wharton and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville attended the funeral for Rev. George Johnson in Culpeper on Tuesday. Later they called on Mrs. Rosie Wharton. En route home they visited Mrs. Eunice Meade on Hash Lane and Mrs. Ray Frazier on Castleton Ford Road.
The Salem Fire Hall on Route 522 was the setting for the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fincham, on Sunday. They celebrated 50 years together and may they have many more years together.
