Elizabeth Welch and Joanne Welch joined the women of the Washington Baptist Church for breakfast at the Country Cafe.
Betty Klise had surgery on April 6 at Fauquier Hospital and is recuperating nicely.
Dottie Cummings of Suffolk spent a week in the Klise-Cummings home. Barbara Mandell of Portsmouth also spent some time with Betty during her recovery. They have both returned to their respective homes.
We wish all those on the sick list a speedy recovery.
Congratulations to Heidi Eastham for once again providing the community with the annual Kite Festival at Ben Venue Farm, which was held on Saturday, April 17. What a gorgeous day for kite making and flying.
