A five session course on writing and understanding your life story is being offered this summer by Julie Portman, Obie award winning playwright, teacher and performing artist, at her home in Washington.
The workshop meets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays beginning on June 13 and ending on Aug. 1. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. No prior writing experience is necessary.
“The course will help you to see and take advantage of the themes that run through your life,” says Portman. “By working with autobiography and memoir in a supportive community of people who work together over two months, you will be able to gather your life experiences under your feet and continue walking forward with greater clarity, courage and joy.
