Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s Queen, ages 14-20; Junior Miss, ages 8-13 and Little Miss, 3-7 for this year’s carnival which will run from June 23 through June 26.
The winner will be determined by who sells the most tickets for the drawing on June 26 for a first prize of $1,000; second prize $500; third and fourth prizes of $50 each and fifth and sixth prizes of $25 each! Come out to the annual United Methodist Women’s yard sale on Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. until 2p.m. The ladies will be offering bargains on a variety of household items, white elephant treasures, clothing, and delicious baked goods. While you are browsing, you can enjoy a scrumptious luncheon. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times, these ladies know how to cook! Hope to see you there.
Later that afternoon, the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Inc. will hold its annual auction on Saturday, May 1 beginning at 6 p.m.
