Beth O’Bannon of Woodville was named Miss Rappahannock at the beauty pageant held Friday night. She receives her tiara from the previous title-holder Darlene Woodward of Castleton, who has to tiptoe to reach the reigning brunette who is five-nine. First runner up was Carter Moffett and in third placed was Janet Hackley. Queen Beth was awarded a cash prize of $100 and then received an additional $150 scholarship aid to education. She is a senior at Rappahannock County High School and will enter the College of William and Mary in the fall. The senior class of Rappahannock County High School will present a play, “Hip Hippie Hooray” at the school on Wednesday night, May 7 with curtain time set for 8 p.m. Admission is $1.50 for adults and $1 for students. Miss Sue Many of Sperryville has accepted a position with the Culpeper National Bank and began her duties there Monday. She was formerly employed in the office of the Rappahannock County Health
