County Administrator McCarthy discussed the new Community Services Board Performance Contract that provides local services for mental health, retardation, substance abuse and aging, and the Board moved unanimously to accept the contract.
He then opened discussions on a competitive negotiation process to prepare for expanded office space for the Commissioner of Revenue and Treasurer. McCarthy recommended that the Board of Supervisors agree to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to select architectural firms for design and construction management services. Supervisor Mike Massie asked about the use of existing space for expansion, and the Board discussed various space options and concluded that no suitable options exist. They then agreed to authorize the preparation and release of the RFP.
