The Rappahannock High Ijady Panthers hosted another school from Page County on Sept. 7, the Luray Lady Bulldogs. The results, unfortunltely, were the same as in the season opener. : Luray - 40 ; JV Girls -39 * i »; For the JV Lady Panthers, ii-was the same problem that plagued them in the opener. They jumped out to a halftime lfcfcd, had problems in the secqrid half and had to play from he'hind in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Panthers forced 16 turnovers by Luray in the first half on their way to a 1913 lead at intermission. The third quarter, however, did Rappahannock in. The Lady Bulldogs scored the first 11 points of the quarter to take the lead at 24-19. The Lady Panthers kept it close, trailing only 30-27 heading into the fourth.
