Rappahannock County High School has received a two volume set of the Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance given by Chrysler Institute of Chrysler Corporation. Linda Martin and Steve Baker were on hand to aid students in making decisions on careers and provide information of job opportunities being created and expanded by the growing industrial economy. The Rappahannock Lions Club was host for the meeting Wednesday of Zone 1 in Region 4 which includes three clubs in Culpeper, one in Remington and the Rappahannock Club. This is a newly established Zone with Paul Nichols of Flint Hill as its chairman. A meeting of the 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club was held Sept. 13 at the home of adult leader, Mrs. R.V. Snead. Officers for the coming year were elected as follows: President, Cil Davis; Vice President, Wendy Brown; Secretary, Libby Snead; Treasurer, Cassie Coates; Reporter, Susan Dodson and Song Leader, Maureen Day. Aviation Fire Control Technician Third Class David E. Palmer, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Palmer of Washington is serving with attack Squadron 75 aboard the USS Saratoga in the Mediterranean Sea.
