Lauren Wells will be teaching fourth grade. She holds an M.A. degree from Marymount University and has had experience teaching a range of students from preschool through^ upper school. Wells will also coach the school’s cross country team.
Andrew Habenicht, a recent graduate of HampdonSydney College, will teach upper school English. He will also be Athletic Director at WCDS and boys’ basketball coach. Habenicht was captain of Hampdon-Sydney’s basketball team which participated in the Division III national championships.
Adam Lewin joins the upper school history department at Wakefield. He received his M.A. in international studies from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. Lewin has taught English as a Second Language in the Czech Republic, and worked at an economics institute in Prague and a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. He has also written articles about one of his great interest - baseball.
