RCHS expansion

groundbreaking

Dr. David Gangel reported that the RCHS expansion contractor is prepared to commence work the week of Sept. 20, and the Board agreed to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday. Completion of the project is expected the first week of August, 2Q00. School fundraisers

Parent Teacher Organization President Jimmy Swindlfer presented the Board with the organization’s plans to hold a jewelry sale fundraiser to support playground renovation, teacher discretion grants, profit sharing with the Seventh Grade class to support their class trip fundraising, and other worthwhile activities. Swindler spoke of the success of last year’s jewelry sale-it generated nearly $10,000 in profit-and he asked for and received the Board's approval for this year’s sale.

Jenny Stanley also presented a request that the Board approve the Seventh Grade class fundraisers. This year they plan to have a holiday items sale, a sale of nature theme items, and a poinsettia
