Those who spoke for me live in Town, while those who supported Mr. Leggett, with one exception live in the County and rarely attend Town Council meetings.
The Council tied three to three on its vote for Mr. Leggett and me. According to Virginia law, the Judge of the Circuit Court will be petitioned to make a determination as to who will be selected to serve on Council. I am confident that he will take a logical and fair approach to the issue.
It is well known that I am opposed to changes in the Town’s zoning that would forever change the quality of the Town of Washington.
Our zoning reflects the heart of our Comprehensive Plan.
