<Autumn With autumn’s finesse, as the dark woods subside, they open their arms and invite us inside. The trees and the vines have been burnished with gold and the sun bathes them with glitter, for the eyes to behold! Or, a gloss o’er the landscape from an autumn mist, insists every blade must shine with its kiss. The crimson and amber thus deepened with wet sets the black of the branches glossy like jet. And as we partake of this miracle serene we can't imagine it ever so long being green! We watch as our w-hole world turns about-face and traces it’s outlines in gold gossamer lace. What more could we ask of mother nature? I know! A winter that’s gifted with ‘just enough’ snow! Cynthia Stamps, Woodville
