Warren, Ohio, area and attended high school together. They married on May 23, 1959, before Mr. Lander embarked on a 30-year career with the L.S. Army, from which he retired with the rank of colonel. As her husband pursued his Army career, Mrs. Lander started as a mutual fund salesperson in 1969 and studied to become a financial planner. She became a certified financial planner in 1977 and has had her own business since then.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother, Paul Richard Park of New Castle, Pa.

A memorial service is planned later this month at Arlington National Cemetery, on a date vet to be determined. The family requested that no flowers be sent and suggested that friends instead make a donation to a church or favorite charity.
