Academy in West Point, N.Y.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, a cadet must maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
Cowherd graduated from Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly in 1999. He is concentrating his studies in history and plans to graduate in 2003 from West Point and be commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Found on March 16, 1802, the academy celebrates its Bicentennial this year.
