Ann Browning Lockhart, 78, of Front Royal died Friday, Nov. 1 at Rutherford’s Adult Home in Front Royal.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Jim Bunce. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lockhart was born May 27, 1924 in Rappahannock County, daughter of Luther and Bertie Jenkins. She retired from Hunter Associates Laboratory in Fairfax.

Mrs. Lockhart attended Flint Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Stevie D. Lockhart Sr.; two daughters, Patricia Smith of Iowa and Cynthia Smith of Front Royal; three sons, James Curry of Front Royal, Rodney Curry and Wayne Curry, both of Maryland; three stepchildren, Shirley Frazier, Stevie Lockhart Jr. and Richard Lockhart, all of Front Royal; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
