Plumber
James W. Grimes, 70, of Front Royal, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Oct. 31 at Warrenton Overlook.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 4 at the Royston Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial was in Marshall Cemetery.
Mr. Grimes was born Sept. 21, 1932 in Fauquier County, son of the late Harry' A. and Cora L. Cornell Grimes. He was a plumber, retiring after 40 years. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Grimes.
Surviving are a daughter, Roberta Bovard of Fallentimber, Pa.; four sons, James F. Grimes of Front Royal, John C. Grimes of Warrenton, Mike S. Grimes and Mitchel L. Grimes, both of Marshall; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors inclyde five sisters, Marie Whorton of Flint Hill, Ruth Jeffries of Marshall, Mary Smith of Front Royal, Nora McIntyre and Catherine Rhoton, both of Warrenton and a brother, Harry Grimes of Warrenton.
