• Aphids are a ladybug’s favorite food.
• Ladybugs make a chemical that smells and tastes terrible so that birds and other predators won’t eat them.
• If you squeeze a ladybug it will bite you, but the bite won’t hurt.
• The spots on a ladybug fade as the ladybug gets older.
Of course, some folks try to rid their house of ladybugs as they can become quite a nuisance. Experts don’t recommend pesticide when trying to remove ladybugs, rather they say pest-proofing a home by applying caulk and weather stripping should prevent ladybugs from entering your home. But, alas, if this does not work, do not fret. If you find a ladybug in your, house in the winter you will have good luck!
Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor visited Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers at Stephens City on Thursday.
Mrs. Stevie Weakley of Fredericksburg was a visitor in the Ranny Aylor home on Friday. They attended funeral services for Lucille Robinson Cooper at the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Congratulations to F.D. and Helen Coffey, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Nov. 1. May they have many more.
