Methodist to host

holiday bazaar

The Amissville United Methodist Women will sponsor their annual holiday bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the church social hall.

Featured will be Christmas ornaments and crafts, home/kitchen items, , baked goods, fresh Georgia pecans, and a white elephant table. Special this year will be a hand-pieced, hand-quilted flower garden quilt and a handmade, blue ribbon prize-winning Raggedy Ann up for silent bid.

Delicious lunch items including soups, chili, sandwiches and desserts will be served. Amissville United Methodist Church is located on US 211 in Amissville.

Culinary Arts to

host fundraiser

The Rappahannock County High School Culinary Arts Program will once again host their annual pie fundraiser just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Orders are currently being taken for homemade, all-butter crust ten inch pies, which includes streusel topped apple, pecan and pumpkin. Pies will be ready for pickup Nov. 26 from noon to 4 p.m. and on Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All orders and payments must be received by Nov. 18.
