An Amissville man has found himself in the unenviable position of proving his stated innocence to a national audience, as media reports from the likes of Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal have tied him to a convoluted whistleblower case of fraud and conspiracy in Iraq.
Douglas Combs, a former Warrenton resident, is chief executive officer and director of Windmill International, Ltd., a financial services firm with offices in Virginia and Romania that does business primarily in parts of Europe.
