Ertha F. Corbin, 94, of Rappahannock County died Friday, August 4, at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
She was born June 24, 1912 at the family home on top of the Shenandoah National Park.
Mrs. Corbin was a devoted Christian and a member of Five Forks Church in Woodville, where she played the organ for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Bertha Hawkins, her husband Bumam Corbin, a daughter Charlotte Corbin Sealock, a sister Mary Frances Chadwell, and three brothers; Milton Hawkins, Raymond Hawkins and Otis Hawkins, also a sonin-law Gavon Foster.
She is survived by her daughter Shirley A. Foster of Flint Hill, and two grandchildren, Chris Foster and his wife Anna of Flint Hill, and Karen Sealock of Nags Head, North Carolina and two stepgreat grandchildren, Mark Huhn Jr. of Winchester, Virginia and Stefanie Huhn of Flint Hill.
A funeral service was held at Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home, 1200 N Shenandoah Ave., Front Royal with Pastor Roger Smith and Dr. Paul Hawkins officiating. Interment was followed in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Burke, Roy Thomas, Junior Chadwell, Bobby Sealock, Mike Sealock and Murphy Reid. Honorary pallbearers were Dickie Burke, Dr. Patterson, Mark Huhn Jr., Daniel Norman, Marvin Hawkins, Charlie Seaford and Jimmy Hawkins.
