August 26: Democratic
Committee “Dog Days of
Summer” yard sale with
boutique and collector’s corner
Big preparations are underway for the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee’s 5th Annual Yard Sale on Saturday, August 26th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. As in the past, the sale will be held at the Fire Hall in Washington, Virginia. However, this time the sale will be in August on the Saturday before the Labor Day weekend. Also new this year is the added attraction of an “international boutique and collector’s comer”. Among the items already received are a varied assortment of international and ethnic “objects d’art”. There will be the usual good selection of artwork, furniture, pottery, toys and games, china and glassware, tools, small electronics and sports equipment. This is just a sampling of the wares we’ll be selling. Please come and see all the other goodies we’ve uncovered.
We would still be happy to receive more treasures to sell, and donations can be brought to the Washington Fire Hall on Friday, August 25th from 12-6 p.m. Pick-ups can be arranged by calling Barbara Adolfi at (540) 987-9706 or Barbara Dennis at (540) 364-2569.

Plates, cups and plastic utensils will be provided. This event only happens one year, so please bring the whole family for a relaxing afternoon of great food, fun and friendship.
