The Junkyard Saints
come to Old Shadowlawn
The Bluemont Concert Series is proud to present the Junkyard Saints on Saturday, August 19th at 7:30 p.m. for the final of ten Saturday evening outdoor performances in downtown Warrenton. All concerts will be held at the Old Shadowlawn at 70 Culpeper Street between Franklin and Lee streets, one block south of old Warren Green in downtown Warrenton.
Admission is $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends and seniors, $2 for kids under 12.
An underground legend on the Baltimore music scene, the Junkyard faints performs their own brand of *110018 Party Music,* blending New Orleans R&B, Zydeco, Latin, Ska, Jump Blues and Mardi Gras Funk. The seven-member band play accordion, keyboards, sax, guitar, trombone, trumpet, bass, drums, percussion, and sing. The group has appeared at the Cqjun Crawfish Festival in Fort Lauderdale with Beausoleil, Boozoo Chavis and Geno Delafose, and has performed at Baltimore's Inner Harbor for its Summer Concert Series and New Year's Eve Celebrations, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Annual Galas, the American Visionary Ait Museum's July 4th Bash, and First Night Annapolis.
Plan to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. Pets, alcohol and smoking are prohibited at all Bluemont events. In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Taylor Middle School auditorium.
