Former pastor Rev. Virgil Wilson of Culpeper will be the guest speaker at the Homecoming services for Slate Mills Baptist Church this Sunday, August 13th. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch following the service.
On Sunday, August 27, during the morning services, a deacon ordination service will be held and lunch will follow this service.
The Pastor and congregation extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to attend these services or any of their regular services.
We extend great sympathy to “Salem Pickin’ Bango player” Mr. John TViplett upon the loss of his wife, Margaret Harlow Triplett, who passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 1st and was laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery Friday.
Condolences go out to Mr. Herbert Hash, a former resident and principal of Salem School, now a resident at Virginia Baptist Community, upon the loss of his sister, Mrs. Mary Hash Eigen who passed away and was laid to rest in Falls Church Cemetery last week.
