On August 2, Zagat Survey released the results of its new 2007 Washington D.C./Baltinaore Restaurants survey. And the winners are: The Inn at Little Washington, sweeping Tbp Food, Decor and Service, Kinkead’s elected Most Popular, and Rasika named the area’s top Newcomer. After The Inn at Little Washington, winners inside the Beltway taking the honors for Tbp Food, Tbp Dbcor and Tbp Service are Makoto, Willard Room, and Seasons respectively.
This year’s Washington D.C./Baltimore Restaurants guide, which was released to local bookstores last week, contains 1,051 area restaurants including numerous spots in Baltimore, Annapolis and on the Eastern Shore. It is based on the experiences of 6,714 Zagat surveyors who downed an average of three meals on the town per week. Thus, this year’s ratings and reviews are based on over 1,000,000 total meals.
“The restaurant scene in Washington is absolutely humming, and with more new chefs, more varied cuisines and more new restaurants than ever before, it takes guidance to narrow the choices - so who better to rely on than the thousands of avid local customers who are, so to speak, the industry’s bread and butter,” said Tim Zagat, cofounder of Zagat Survey.
