Alice Watson Faulkner died of cancer on Wednesday, August 2, at her summer home in Prouts Neck, Maine. She was bom in Washington, D.C. In 1931 as the youngest child of Sara Latimer Watson and Robert Clement Watson, who served as U.S. Commissioner of Patents during the Eisenhower Administration. Her maternal grandfather, Asbury C. Latimer, served as both a Representative and as a Senator from South Carolina.
Mrs. Faulkner attended the Potomac School when it was located on California Street in Washington. She was a graduate of The Madeira School in Greenway, Virginia and of Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. She studied Modem Dance and Child Development while at Sarah Lawrence and
