Gas Truck follow up A story concerning a gasoline spill at Mayhugh’s store in Amissville ran in the August 3 edition of the Rappahannock News. According to the driver of the truck involved, the spill occurred because of the overfilling of the store’s underground gas tank by a previous driver on a previous delivery. The gas that spilled onto the ground at Mayhugh’s on July 31 came from a vapor recovery system and not the PM Transport Gas truck, as previously reported. Additionally, the amount of gas spilled was far less than initially estimated by the Amissville fire department.
