years I decided to take the next step and apply to a four-year university. I earned high marks at community college and was accepted to Virginia Tfech as an incoming sophomore. The first year I lived in the dormitoiy which was a great learning experience. I learned how to live with a roommate who was the complete antithesis of myself, I learned how to manage time with copious distractions and I learned a lot about myself as well. Coming to Tfech was the best decision that I ever made, and I wouldn’t have changed anything from the past on my path to get to where I am.
I wasn’t ready for college right after high school. I was too immature and too capricious to handle the massive expectations and responsibility that are placed on your shoulders.
Now here I am. After working for the Rappahannock News for the summer as an intern staff writer, I have my own column about my life and I am excited about the future.
