Hallowed ground The Supervisors voted unanimously to approve a federal program called e Journey Through Hallowed Ground Corridor. The proposed corridor follows US Route 15 and Route 20 from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, through Frederick County, Maryland to Charlottesville. The corridor is a congressional effort to designate locations along the above corridor as a National Heritage Area. The designation doesn’t affect private property rights, and involves no cost to the county. Rappahannock Rapidan Community Service Board The BOS voted to approve the 2007 Rappahannock Rapidan Community Service Board performancecontract to provide services connected with mental health, substance abuse treatment, and elder care. The Supervisors also authorized the RRCSB to borrow up to $4.2 million dollars for the purchase and construction of a new facility for alcohol and drug rehabilitation. The RRCSB is supported by multiple counties, and requires approval from Rappahannock and other counties in the Rappahannock- Rapidan area to borrow the additional funds.
