“Bill was a bit of a pied piper, a kid at heart,” she said.
The Lynns moved to North Caroling as Dr. Lynn was still teaching at Winston-Salem. During their stay there, however, the newly married couple, discussed concepts and brainstormed about their ideal school.
School of dreams
A year later, the Lynns moved back to the Northern Virginia area selecting an old log cabin in Boston, Virginia located in Rappahannock County. They named the cabin “Thermopylae” and settled down to start their school. “People thought we were crazy,” said Pamela. “They believed that Rappahannock County was too far away for D.C. area students and that the local people had no interest in private education.”
Although they both had dreams, the ideal school had yet to materialize.
