Stop to smell the flowers
Rappahannock resident Ann Brown snapped this picture of a curious black bear in her yard one morning three weeks ago. “I thought that if I just stuck my head out of my door, I could get the picture and run back inside before he noticed," said Brown. Apparently Brown’s visitor didn’t mind, because he hung around her yard licking his feet the rest of the morning. Apparently the bear was using Brown’s yard to take a little rest break and enjoy the scenery after a busy start to his day. “He’d already demolished my bird feeders,” said Brown.
