Nov. 30: Training to
handle emergencies
The next Rappahannock-Rapidan Medical Reserve Corps (RRMRC) training will be on biologic agents: Category A from 7:15 - 9p.m., on November 30. There will be an orientation for new volunteers prior to the training from 6-7 p.m. The training and orientation will take place at the Culpeper Emergency Operation Center. If someone knocked on your door and said “You have 5 minutes to evacuate”, what would you bring with you? If you were told you needed to take shelter at home, what do you need to have on hand? To leam the answers to these questions or to schedule a presentation on personal and family emergency preparedness for your group, organization or church, contact RRMRC as above. The presentation covers emergencies from floods to pandemic flu. It can last anywhere from 20 minutes without questions, to 45 minutes with questions. Information packets are provided.
Dec 1: Power line discussion
The Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) annual meeting will be held on Friday, December 1, at the Washington Town Hall. Light refreshments and socializing begin at 6:30. The program follows at 7 p.m. Dominion and Allegheny Power have announced plans for a 500J*.
