"Our essay contest was.a good way to spread the word," van Zelst said of the enthusiastic entries in the contest, the winner of which received free tuition to ffie Fargis clinic. "We hope the calendar will do the same."
Photos in the calendar were all taken by local photographer Meredith Opstad, who circled the Piedmont region to illustrate the Thoroughbred's versatility. "It was a fun assignment," Opstad said. "Those horses are amazing."
