Meanwhile, their male counterparts over at Best Buy are stalking the truly big game in the form of a 62inch flat-panel TV set (for a cool $2,000). To put it in Christmas terms, women are stocking stuffers and men are the ones with visions of the car in the driveway with the big red bow around it - for your 16-yearold. Call it Christmas hunting.

Perhaps I am generalizing, but women, more frequently than their husbands or male partners, seem to appreciate, even relish, finding a bargain and generally like to get a lot for their money. Most men fancy themselves more cautious about spending - and balk about their wife's or girlfriend's frequent outings to the outlet stores; men just don't seem to get the whole "spend and save concept."
