Part of the Webb’s’ project included a search for illustrators, especially for Mack’s many children’s books. “We like to look locally for our illustrators,” said Mack. “It allows me to work with an illustrator personally and better explain the idea and flavor of the story.” The Webb’s quest took them to the county library in Warrenton, Va. where they met Nealson’s mother, Mary Ellen, who introduced them to the Rappahanr.ofk teen’s lov« of art
