Jenkins took advantage of the non-district game against Fresta Valley to give most of his players an opportunity to garner some innings. Miller got the win, as he pitched the first four innings and struck out seven. Butler tossed two innings and had three strikeouts. Ethan Russell fanned the side in order to close out the game.
Rappahannock County scored two in the first on Gessner’s RBI double and Miller’s run-scoring single. After Fresta Valley scored a run in the second, the Panthers added three more in the three on Russell’s RBI single and Jenkins’ two-run double.
Fresta Valley made the . game interesting with two mote runs off Miller to pull within 5-3 in the middle of the fourth. But Rappahannock got a two-run single from Russell to push the lead to 7-3.
The Panthers all hut put the game out of reach in the sixth with an RBI double from Jenkins aod Jason WieseaTTs run-scoring triple.
In the 9-4 defeat, Rappahannock County played Nthbrook even through four innings. But Mdlbrook scared four tinra in the last two innings to pull out the win. Two Rappahannock errors contributed to their demise. Jenkins, LB. Settle and Russell also contributed RBI hits.
